Sterling silver earrings with an open poison compartment…Inspired by the carnivorous tropical pitcher plant. The genus Nepenthes is not toxic and in fact monkeys have been seen drinking from the pitchers, leading to its nickname ‘monkey cups’; however, that matters little to the prey that fall inside. The fluid the plant produces has sinister viscoelastic properties that retain insects, and even rats, lizards, and sometimes birds, inside.
